As a creative artist, Minquell Ramone's artistry is a manifestation of his singular experience as an Afro-European growing up in the Dutch metropolis of Amsterdam. Raised by immigrant parents from Suriname, his cultural heritage imbues his work with a rich and nuanced perspective. With nearly twenty years of experience as a professional dancer and choreographer, Minquell has shifted his focus to narrative storytelling. As a drama and genre writer, he imbues his characters with a fierce spirit of rebellion, breaking rules and defying societal expectations. Through his writing, Minquell explores the inner lives of outsiders and misfits who search for self-discovery and rebel against the confines of the status quo.
Minquell lives in Studio City with his wife and two sons.
